It's time for food done right... Rice



While I love the smell of freshly baked bread, Rice is definitely food worth talking about. I grew up knowing nothing but white rice but lo and behold there's a lot more there to sample from. Makes you wonder... :)

rice (rahys) n.
1. the starchy seeds or grain of an annual marsh grass, Oryza sativa, cultivated in warm climates and used for food.
2. the grass itself.
3. v. (used with object) - to reduce to a form resembling rice: to rice potatoes.

A quick search on the Internet revealed that each country offers a different variety of rice and it's going to be quite a daunting task to collect what comes from where. So instead I'm going to provide this link which lists the history of rice, the types, its nutritional value, cooking methods and provides recipes from all over the world. Perfect!
